Pi Network Ghana Plan
As a registered Non-Governmental Organization, Pi Network Ghana is committed to leveraging community support and blockchain technology for social good. Our intervention plan is as follows:
Objective: Support reintegration and welfare of inmates, especially those awaiting trial.
- Regular visits to Ghanaian prisons to assess living conditions and welfare needs.
- Partner with Legal Aid Commission, CHRAJ, and pro-bono lawyers for legal education and support for inmates who cannot afford representation.
- Provide toiletries, food, clothing, and bedding.
- Run reformation, counseling, and digital skills training to prepare inmates for life after prison and reduce recidivism.
- We will NOT declare anyone unlawfully imprisoned — that is for the courts. Our role is advocacy and support.
Impact: Promotes justice, human dignity, and successful reintegration.
Objective: Provide financial relief to indigent patients and improve access to healthcare.
- Collaborate with hospital social welfare departments to identify patients medically discharged but unable to pay bills.
- Establish a Health Relief Fund from donations to help the most vulnerable.
- Organize health screening, blood donation drives, and health education in rural communities.
- Advocate for NHIS enrollment for families who cannot afford it.
Impact: Reduces hospital detention, prevents poverty from health costs, and improves community health.
Objective: Combat loneliness, isolation, and depression among the elderly.
- Build and operate Old Age Villas/Arena in selected regions, starting with one pilot project.
- Day-care and recreation arenas — not places to abandon the elderly.
- Facilities: resting lounge, health check-up unit, library, indoor games, counselling unit, and garden.
- Trained caregivers, periodic medical check-ups, and inter-generational mentoring programs.
Impact: Restores dignity, improves mental health, and promotes active ageing.
Objective: Shelter, care, and empowerment for orphans, vulnerable children, and underprivileged youth.
- Establish Charity and Empowerment Homes for children who lost parents and youth without support.
- Formal education support, vocational skills (tailoring, carpentry, catering, ICT, blockchain), and mentorship for innovators.
- All homes licensed by Department of Social Welfare under strict child protection policies.
Impact: Breaks the cycle of poverty and turns vulnerable youth into nation builders.
Objective: Sustainable access to clean and potable water for deprived villages.
- Partner with District Assemblies, Ghana Water Company, and donors for boreholes and filtration systems.
- Establish Water and Sanitation Management Committees (WSMC) in each community.
- Include WASH education to reduce water-borne diseases.
Impact: Reduces cholera and typhoid, improves school attendance, and productivity.
